The Substitute

Gwyneth Paltrow hará su debut en este episodio, haciendo de Holly Holliday, una maestra sustituta de español que se hace cargo de New Directions cuando Will Schuester se enferma. Su personaje también tendrá otro interés amoroso en Will, complicando aún más su relación con Emma. Gwyneth cantará tres canciones en este episodio, uno a dúo con Rachel, una con New Directions y uno a dúo con Will. Jessalyn Gilsig también regresará para su papel como Terri Delmonico.
